How To Make Easy & Delicious Miso Soup
It is super easy to make authentic Japanese miso soup at home! Homemade miso soup is not only delicious, it also brings many great health benefits. Let us learn how to make this nourishing soup at home with our recipe.
Green onion - 1 spring (sliced diagonally into 1/2 inch pieces)
Dashi stock – 22 oz
Miso – 2.5 oz
Soak wakami about 5 mins (soaking dried wakame in a separate bowl of water to get rid of saltiness)
In a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, combine dashi and water; bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium, and whisk in the miso paste. (if the soup is boiling when you add miso in, the miso taste will be gone. Usually we recommend you use the filter to melt to miso into the soup.)
Stir in tofu and wakami. (Do not put tofu in the high temperature soup which will affect the taste.)
Separate the layers of the green onions and add them to the soup. Simmer gently for 2 to 3 minutes before serving.
