Japanese Chilled (Hiyayako) Tofu

Ingredients:
  • 1 Box of silken tofu
  • ½ tsp fresh grated ginger 
  • 5 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp green onions
  • 2 tbsp dried bonito flakes for topping (skip for vegan/vegetarian)

Instructions:

  1. Cut the silken tofu into 6 pieces and place in a big bowl with ice cubes and water about 5-10 minutes.
  2. Drain the tofu, put on a serving dish. 
  3. Top the tofu with the soy sauce, green onion, and ginger, bonito flakes.
  4. Serve.
